Housekeeping

In a recent post I realized that I hadn't shown you my polka dot dress yet!
I've had it for about 1 1/2 years, so it's high time...

Look! It's a spinny circle skirt! I love those :)

The pattern I used was Burda magazine 05/08. No. 127 (you wouldn't believe how long it took me to find that, it's been so long...)

So that's pretty much it for now, beacuse I have to get back to school stuff. Meh. They keep us so busy and they also keep saying it gets even worse in second year! *sigh*

Maybe, if I'm productive and finish my research in a somewhat timely manner you'll get a rococo update later on! (but I shouldn't promise these things, it never works out...)

Skirts in my head... and on here as well

For fashion school we're doing our first proper set of designs. We have do to skirts and it's due Monday and I should get back to layouting, but I have to take a break. So here is another skirt I sewed last year (and yes, when I took the pictures two of the buttons came undone and I didn't notice at the time).

The pattern I used is the "Helena Skirt", which you can get on burdastyle.com. Go check it out it's really cute and easy!

And this button situation is what happened because I had so many silver buttons left over - just not enough of just one type. So mix-and-match it was, and I really like the outcome. It's a good thing, this kind of stuff happens, chance is more creative than I am ;)

Think Pink

There's lots of pink in my room now.

It's taken me almost the whole day to cut this all out. So much fabric to wrestle with... now the next step will be to iron it all (again...), iron on some interfacing and lots of overlocking. And then I can actually start sewing. Yay! I'll keep you updated.
